Wesley Knight Visual Identity
Wesley Knight Bespoke Eyewear
Information

With a lifelong interest in making things with his hands, Texas native, Nashville-based master craftsman Wesley Knight is one of just a handful of artists worldwide who are expert makers of bespoke eyeglass frames in solid buffalo horn and precious metal. Knight first intended to complete an apprenticeship with a shoemaker in Spain; when that fell through, he circled back to the custom glasses he created as a college thesis project. Over a ten year period, Knight perfected the craft of bespoke horn frames, using techniques and tools that have remained the same for hundreds of years. For the first phase of his career, Knight worked exclusively with individual clients, creating glasses that were completely customized for each client.

Building on the foundation of bespoke eyewear, Knight wanted to scale his brand and create a new product line that could attract a broader consumer market. He developed WK Limited Edition, a numbered line of six frame designs available through eyewear boutiques hand selected by the artist across North America and Europe. WK Limited Edition showcases the same luxury materials as his bespoke designs—solid buffalo horn and sterling silver—and he closely oversees the production process to ensure WK Limited Edition frames are among the highest quality in the world.

Building on our existing collaborative relationship with the artist, Studio Loutsis designed Knight’s brand identity, logo, and website. We leveraged the brand values of fine craftsmanship, rich heritage, and layered history. The logo reflects several concurrent creative tensions in Knight’s eyewear: modern yet timeless, bold yet delicate, geometric yet organic.
